The first inhabitants of the territory of Mongolia
500 000 years ago: The first inhabitants of the territory of Mongolia
Recent archaeological discoveries have shown that peoples inhabiting the territory of Mongolia today, were established there are more than 500,000 years. These would be the same person involved in the search for new territory through Siberia and then across the Bering Strait to colonize North America. You can still see strong similarities in lifestyle and habitat of some peoples of Central Asia (the Tsataans, raising the reindeer people living in tepees) and the Indians of North America. The resemblance is also evident in religious rites.
It is generally acknowledged by specialists sociologists and anthropologists that it is primarily the climate and environment which is responsible for human groupings and way of life in primitive societies. The extreme conditions that prevail in Central Asia requires tribes to the first domination of a hostile nature. This domination is made possible by the search for pasture for times of the year. It is believed that shortly after the climate change that took place there are 140 000 years that the peoples of the region became nomads. The climate that existed previously in this region of Central Asia had allowed them to grow barley. But following the changes in the climate of the region they adopted a nomadic lifestyle.
