Zuunmod, capital of the province of Tov
Zuunmod is a town located just 43 km south of Ulan Bator. It is the administrative center of the province of Tov. The major attraction of this city (or region) is certainly the Buddhist monastery Manzushir. (The monastery is located 5km northeast of the city) A visit is always impressive if you're interested in the religion of the Dalai Lama. Apart from a walk in the surrounding mountains, the reasons for coming to Zuun mod are not many. But if you have little time and you do not want to move away from the Mongolian capital, Zuunmod may be interesting.
Things to see Zuunmod:
The city museum - Discover the fauna and flora of the region
Ethnographic Museum - Small museum often closed. Feel free to knock at the door
Dashichoinkhorlon Buddhist monastery. Nothing comparable with the Monastery Manzushir a little further.
Zuunmod to sleep: It is always possible to ask your tent around the small town of Mongolia. Nevertheless, it is better to go camping near the monastery Manzushir. Also the Government hotel and camp yurts Öndör Dov.
